Terms and Conditions
1. Bookings for new swimmers: Bookings are to be submitted online on a first come-first served basis. You may be requested to submit your details in a waiting list. When class slots become available, you will receive an email from us (approximately 2 to 4 weeks before the start date of your chosen term) with a link to make payment so as to confirm your place in class. In order to guarantee your child’s place in class, your payment must be received by us within the given deadline.
2. Terms and holidays: There are four terms per year, spring, summer, autumn and winter terms. We break for around 2 weeks during Easter, Summer and Christmas. No lessons are held on public holidays, Mother’s day and Father’s day.
3. Pool closed: Swimming pools are sometimes out of action due to circumstances beyond our control. In such cases missed classes will be credited to the next term. You will be advised accordingly.
4. Booking cancellations: If you cancel your booking up to 10 days before a term is due to begin we will refund your money, charging an administration fee of €20.00. If you cancel between 3-9 days before the first class of the term, an administration fee of € 30.00 applies, there after no refunds and credits will be possible.
5. Re-booking and payment for current swimmers: We will email you during the 7th /8th week of your term with a link for payment to book the following term within the given deadline. Your place in the next term cannot be guaranteed unless you do this. Though we will always do our utmost to accommodate you, this may not be possible if the class is full. Should you be unable to attend a date or two in the term, kindly let us know the dates before settling payment.
6. Requests for change of programme (changing to another day / venue) must be made by latest at the time of re-booking. No charges will be applied and we will always do our best to accommodate you. Once a term has started, classes cannot be transferred to another term or to a different day.
7. Class structure: Our classes are structured and progressive and any class may have children of varying ages and ability. We do our best to group the classes around the requirements of our current swimmers when possible. The class grouping, level and time may vary from term to term, depending on the individuals in the group and the number of children in a class. When progressing from one level to another, children may also be required to move to a class at a different time / with a different group. Children continue at the same level for more than one term until it time for them to progressing to the next level.
8. Sickness: Please do not come to class if you or your child has any signs of illness. Anyone with fever or other symptoms will not be allowed to enter and will be advised to return home. A medical certificate may be requested attesting that you / your child are no longer sick, before you can re-join the classes.
9. Missed classes & catch-up classes: If you or your baby are unable to attend any class, due to illness or any other reason, we are under no obligation to refund money, to issue credits or to postpone classes. 1 catch-up class is given per Term
10. Cessation of Term: In the case that the term need to be put on hold due to unprecedented circumstances, classes will be paused and carried forward to be continued once this is possible.
11. Responsibility of children. Children are the sole responsibility of the accompanying adult and must not be left unattended at any time before, during or after class.
12. Responsible adult: If you are unable to attend a class / classes yourself, you can opt to send another responsible adult in your place.
13. Medical conditions & personal details. When booking your term you agree that you have informed Aquababies Malta of any medical conditions, in both yourself and your child, which we should be aware of. Aquababies Malta can bear no responsibility for missing or incorrect information given. You are responsible to inform us of any changes in health conditions, including pregnancy, and any changes in your personal details as soon as you are aware of them.
14. Teachers: It is our policy to have the same teacher for any on-going term. However, we cannot guarantee this if a teacher is ill, on leave etc. We always do our best to provide an alternative teacher so that you do not need to miss your class.
15. Photographs & videos. Aquababies Malta recognises the need to ensure the welfare and safety of all young people taking part in any activity associated with our organisation. In accordance with the Data Protection Policy, photographs, videos or other images are not permitted to be taken during the classes except by persons authorised by Aquababies Malta. You are required to leave the pool area to use mobile devices.
16. Double Nappy Protection. All children who are not fully potty trained are required to wear well-fitting Double Nappy Protection to attend classes. A reusable over nappy (available from our office and online shop) that is worn over a disposable swimming nappy (available at supermarkets / pharmacies). A swimsuit / sunsuit is NOT a replacement for the reusable nappy.
17. Loss, damage or liability. Safety is our priority at all times; however, Aquababies Malta cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury on the pool premises. Pool / venue terms & conditions are to be adhered to at all times.
18. Special needs: Please do let us know if you or your child has any specific needs so that we can do our best to support you and optimise your child’s learning and enjoyment. Children with special needs are welcome where possible at all our classes and are integrated into our regular lessons. We do not however employ specially trained staff and therefore cannot be held liable for the care of such children beyond the teaching of our techniques.
By booking your child with us, you accept these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to edit our terms and conditions at any time, and it is your responsibility to check for any changes from time to time
