Liliana

Hello from Liliana – Malta’s Aquababies Franchisee, also a teacher and tutor in baby and pre-school swimming.  I’m a proud grandma to three adorable girls, love to travel and swim and also hold nature and animals close to heart.

Working with children in diverse situations has been tremendously rewarding and enriching for me and a career change in 2014 saw me move from social work to baby and pre-school swimming. Aquababies has enabled me to use a lifelong passion for working with young children and provide an amazing aquatic learning environment for young swimmers.  This is the perfect fit for me.

I am a firm believer in encouraging and guiding each child to explore the world around them and that each little curiosity is an exciting learning experience for them. Their joy in learning brings much joy to me.

Giselle

I'm a Holistic Health Practitioner and Licensed Clinical Hypnotherapist.  Being able to teach babies and young children how to swim enables me to further pursue my intrinsic passion for holistic wellness.  The role of a swimming instructor with Aquababies is truly rewarding, and I value engaging with my little learners as it keeps them engaged in their learning process.

My previous work experience is within International Aviation, so I have substantial cross-cultural work experience, and have managed multicultural teams.  For this reason, I cherish the opportunity I have as a swimming instructor  to teach children of different nationalities and backgrounds. I am also an avid traveller (+64 countries) and love exploring beaches around the world. Majoring in Criminology, Psychology and Social Sciences, I am now furthering studies in Leadership and Management.

Milene

I am Ms Milene, I have previous experience in Education and became part of the Aquababies team in 2019.

Being a swimming teacher is a uniquely rewarding job, as it imparts a life-long skill that children carry into adulthood.

I love seeing children gain confidence, learn new skills, and achieve milestones in the water, which can potentially save lives and open up new recreational opportunities for them.

Damaris

This is Damaris and I have enjoyed swimming all my life and became interested in baby and toddler swimming when my children were born, since I noticed the positive effect swimming had on their overall development. In 2015 I got the Baby and Preschool Swimming Teacher qualification and started teaching with Aquababies Malta. Joining Aquababies has given me the opportunity to combine the three things that make me happy, the water, being around children, and the passion for teaching. I am fascinated by the positive effect the baby and preschool swimming experience has on the attachment and bonding between parent and child as well as the increased confidence of both the child and the parent in water as the lessons progress.

I am also qualified in Psychology and Education and have worked with children for the past twenty-seven years. I hold a Masters qualification in Play Therapy, so when I am not swimming, I am doing psychological therapy with children through play.

Marvic

Cheers to All! I am Marvic and I have been part of the Aquababies admin team since 2017.  My aim in life is to be happy and try my best to make others happy too.

‘In life you never lose but you either win or learn’ is a quote from Mandela that reminds me to do my utmost to find something positive in every day.

I have never stopped learning. After finishing school I worked in various offices but felt that I wanted to dedicate my daily work to young children. After studying and living in Italy, I worked for 16 years as a kindergarten assistant here in Malta. Changing back to administrational work at Aquababies, I have finally found the job of my life, helping enthusiastically in the daily preparation for the ongoing swimming programmes.

I am very glad that I am still in touch with the little ones and happy to see them learn through splashing!
